Taylor & Brian | Walloon Lake Country Club Petoskey Wedding

The kick off to a wedding season is always exciting, but kicking off with Taylor and Brian’s Walloon Lake celebration was particularly thrilling. We had the most gorgeous summer weather and all the lakes were shining and beautiful. Taylor and Brian spent so much time curating the most romantic details from their invitation suites complete with watercolor details all the way to carrying the soft blues and greens of the bridesmaids outfits into the reception linens. After a special and sweet first look, the bridal party headed to the waterfront in Petoskey for amazing Lake Michigan photos. I will never get over the way film captures water and texture, and getting my film images back makes me as excited as Christmas Day every single time! A waterside ceremony was made even sweeter with readings by their parents and a ring warming (the rings passed through the guest during the ceremony so each person could pray a blessing over their marriage before they exchanged vows). Their reception was full of all things northern Michigan- ice cream, pies, the most wonderful food you can imagine (Walloon Country Club does it right!) and one of the best live bands in Michigan—Blue Water Kings. The party continued into the night as the sunset on Walloon Lake and guests danced the night away. As usual, I am sharing way too many photos (but really, how do you choose when there is so much beauty!?). I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their day!
