Jamie & Sarah | The Felt Mansion Wedding with The Bloom Workshop

When I am not shooting weddings you can most likely find me planning and executing the next Bloom Workshop. I love stretching my styling eye and skill set and getting to dream up and put together gorgeous "weddings" is such a joy. This particular bright wedding shoot was designed for one of Bloom's half day events where planners, photographers and stylists can attend and learn about their camera and shoot not one, but three, wedding vignettes complete with models, calligraphy, florals, desserts and so much more. The backdrop was The Felt Mansion in Holland, Michigan and the stately manor near the lakeshore was utter perfection for my history loving heart. Here are some favorites with a full list of vendors at the bottom! Enjoy!

Victoria + Phil | Holland Engagement

I met Victoria and Phil a few weeks ago at the Holland state park beach and when we arrived it was freezing cold and overcast. As we stepped onto the sand we were hit with intense winds-- like, eat your hair the entire time winds-- but Victoria and Phil were amazing and trooped on right through it! What resulted are some really insanely gorgeous photos of these two with the churning Lake Michigan waters in the background. Victoria's beautiful hair flying in the wind are some of my favorites and is just proof that stunning images can be captured even in less than ideal situations (and how adorable is that skirt!)! Here are some of my favorites below!

Patrizia & Jake | Baker Lofts Fine Art Film Wedding

Sweet Patrizia (or Mucki (moo-key) as her friends and family lovingly call her) and Jake had the most perfect Michigan weather wedding day, ever. I absolutely loved being outside in Holland soaking up a breezy day and OH the greens-- the delicious, delicious end of summer greens! This bridal party was tons of fun, and even though I got stung by a bee on the face I didn't even care because I had so much fun. I got to work with vendor friends, Mattie of Spark & Wildflower (whose very own wedding I kicked my 2016 wedding season off with) and Alyse from Every Little Detail who has attended one of my Bloom Workshops in the past!

Before I share more, let me back up. I was so thrilled with Mucki booked me for her big day because she is more beautiful inside than she is out. The handful of times we got to hang out I felt like I was with an old friend and Jake is just the type of guy that makes YOU feel comfortable (seriously he was asking me if I needed anything on HIS wedding day!) One of my favorite things about this wedding was the nod to M's grandparents and German heritage. At their reception they participated in a German folklore wedding tradition and toasted glasses, the Nuernberg Bridal Cup. If you've never heard of it, you should look it up. It was incredible sweet (and funny!) and it is the personal touches like this that make every wedding so unique and special.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your insanely gorgeous wedding day, Sobania's! Congratulations! Enjoy a few of my very favorite photos of their day!
